IN THE JOYOUS LIGHT

The TMF 2024 Symphony Hall Gala Concert Event

featuring world-renowned

PIANIST JONATHAN BISS

“IN THE JOYOUS LIGHT” is a potent lyric from Terezín composer Viktor Ullmann’s last songs set to poems by Friedrich Hölderlin. We’ll experience these transcendent works plus the world premieres of two exciting new TMF commissions. Jonathan Biss caps our evening with a performance of Schubert’s sublime and life-affirming Piano Sonata No. 22 in A Major, D.959.
